1. What is anal dilator ?
= Anal dilator is tubular instrument with blind end, made from PVC. It is hard, solid and straight in nature .

4. What is the benefits of Anal dilator ?
=Benefits of Anal dilator is to dilate anal region in circular manner. It is used in various anorectal surgeries like fissure in Ano, K.S ligation for piles and fistula etc. to dilate anal region.

= Need of anal dilator is to dilate anal region in circular manner. Circular anal dilation prevents over lacerations at anal verge than manual dilation . That’s why anal dilators are necessary for dilatation.
6. What is best between manual anal dilatation and dilatation by dilators ?
= Dilatation by dilator is best because there will be less lacerations at anal region. Advantage of anal dilator is dilatation happens in circular manner. There will be inappropriate dilatation by manual dilatation but anal dilator gives perfect dilatation.
7. Why there is need of 5 anal dilators?
= There is need of 5 anal dilator because we start anal dilatation from small size diameter which gives gradual spasm release of anal region after the insertion of largest size diameter there will be constant dilatation of anal region .
8. What is the process of Anal dilatation by dilator ?
= After proper pre-operative procedure i.e. shaving,cleaning,painting and dropping of anal region you can start anal dilatation under anaesthesia. Apply Lox 2 % jelly Jeshthmadh Ghrut on a smaller dilator first. Gradually insert that dilator into anal canal only ¼ th part is insert into anal canal. In this way insert anal dilators one by one. At the end insert largest anal dilator and kept it in anal region for 1-2 minutes.
9. Can we do anal dilatation by local anaesthesia ?
=Yes, we can do anal dilatation under local anaesthesia.
10. What will be the precaution should be taken during anal dilatation ?
=Precaution should be taken during anal dilatation that dilator should not insert beyond its ¼ th part. Insert dilator with Lox 2 % jelly and Jeshthmadh Ghrut. During dilatation patients complain of abdominal pain but after the process of dilatation it will resolve automatically.
11. What will be the complication of anal dilator?
= Complicatio will be more laceration and bleeding because of insertion of anal dilator without application of Lox 2 % gelly+ Jeshthmadh Ghrut. Another one is abdominal pain due to more part of dilator inserted into anal canal.
12. What is the process of cleaning the dilator?
= We can clean it with soap water after that and clean it with spirit 2 times. We can Autoclave the dilators upto 20 min.
